Keys is the name given to allen keys, Hex keys and Spanners in Russian.
I'll make a note of this for the dialogues, But you will have to wait until the next version for the spwan issues to be fixed.

I should have been more clear...

Klutch means keys in general
Molotok means hammer and Kuvalda means heavy lump hammer or sledge hammer.

Well, I don't speak Russian, and I have no idea why Sid would want a sledge hammer in his tool kit scratch but those are the items that (should!) allow you to complete the mission.

Working on the assumption about Soviet-era technology that if it didn't fail immediately, it would last forever; a finely calibrated, state of the art sledgehammer should be an essential item in every Zone engineer's toolkit...

Ahh.. so thats wy thy all drive 1970s Opel Ascondas?
I'm not joking...

It's still quite a popular car in Russia, and the parts are easily available!

Last time I was in Russia, I had a 1986 Opel (Vauxhall) Astra MK2.

I couldn't belive it when it started in -30 conditions (it started every morning on the button). even a ferrari would never hold up to that challenge!

its one of the most reliable cars I have ever owned. (the brakes didnt work though)

edit: Ok, I couldn't help myself.

Here is the car from 1986. I pad 35 000ru for it, and sold it 3 months later for 30 000ru (for a quick sale). it's about £700 or $800 (quite expensive for such an old car.

Not entirely, Opel is the name of the company.
The name was changed to Vauxhall (like the Vauxhall bridge in London, becuase after WW2 people wouldn't buy the german cars.)

the solution was to sell the cars under a different name from a different section of the company.

My Opel in Russia, was benzine / petrol.

Totally off-topic, but I run a 24 year old Vauxhall Carlton estate for which I paid £1,000 ten years ago. I maintain it myself, can still get the spares, and my local garage says that they just don't build 'em like this any more...  I love you

I know it's the closest I'll ever get to maintaining a Russian car under such brutally harsh conditions, but the experience has really helped with the Zone dialogues, as when MO now says, "Here (in the Zone), you can fix anything with a screwdriver, a few spanners, and a hammer..."

Whew, back on topic again... Wink
