Howdy folks back again with another problem Very Happy

I have gone through everything up to giving maples the heart of the poltergeist + 10 cobblestones. However, i cannot find tthe swamp doctor.
His diary is missing and so is he.
Is there a way to spawn him? or his diary?

Also when i got the doctors bag for sakharov, i never got a photo or journal entry about the teleports as reward.

Anyone got any ideas about what i should do?

Yep i have the atp transition to pripyat, Excellent!
I shall have to try the code as things in my .13 playthrough have happened in a very strange order from the last time i went through.

However, i am still starting again from scratch after the new update, .13 has done my head in!

Heh i waited for .13 for that and the game ran smoother, lasted longer before end of level crashes (i can go 7-8 levels now before it crashes) and runs beautifulls / stable.
Unfortunately the quests are spawning things at the wrong times (i just remembered the docs journal spawned my first time through pripyat) and quests seem to be comming out of order Sad

Its almost like separate groups combined slightly different versions of the game

early on in .13 it was stable for me too but as I got further and further in game the CTD's got worse and worse where I had to make a backup save at each level transition.

However, it is there but you have to scroll down the 'items' list down to ***CORDON*** where it has 1-4 of sak_book.

Sorry sjohnson, my mistake ...it is sak_book4, not sak_book_4. Just tested it, it works with Esc-F4 and, as aZmoDen has said, it is in the items list under Cordon. I have corrected my infoportions list and will now go and stand in the corner. Embarassed

w00t! That did it. Thanks, pchester! Same problem, different item - Sakharov's bag did not spawn. No military were at the site, only the APC. The only items available are binoculars and 4 grenades.

Searching the info portion spreadsheet, using "sak_" as a search term I find nothing that seems to be for the medical bag. I may just go on SS hiatus until 1.1.0014 comes out. This version is rapidly losing its appeal :/

The Captain (Orlevich?) carrying Sak's bag has a tendency to wander off in the direction of the Sarcophagus entrance if you don't get to him quickly - which usually means he gets killed. If you don't find him, his body will probably de-spawn by the time you next return.

There is plenty of time on the "find the entrance" mission, so I usually make finding Orlevich my priority before heading for the actual entrance. If he isn't where he should be, I head for the entrance, checking any grey-dot corpses on the way. I have found him alive and in his usual position by getting to him quickly on my last couple of playthroughs.

If you can't find him, the bag is

(I found "sumka" by using Google translate, which told me that medical bag is Meditsinskaya sumka. I often use this method to look for possible search words, as they often aren't in English.)

I think it is only this one NPC who does it (or did it?*) ... possibly a standard NPC reaction to enemies nearer the Sarcophagus.

(*As I said, I have managed to find him in time in my recent games, so that part may have been fixed).

did a blow out happen? anomaly locations will randomize when that happens

I understand how a blow-out sometimes randomizes anomaly locations, so I spent about a half-hour looking for anomalies. None to be found. Come to think of it, I came to Radar from Pripyat and I don't think it had any anomalies, either.

There is a point in the mid-game where most of the random anomalies stop spawning for some reason. The fixed ones are still there, but areas like the approach to the Hospital and the Old Village transition to Limansk are a cakewalk at this time. However, just when you have forgotten how dangerous they are, those anomalies reappear with a vengeance later on! Shocked

If you are looking for anomalies to transmutate artifacts in, I always just set up a little row of all the different anomalies with the capsules from Adrenaline just outside of the map in Rostok. It takes some clever jumps, but you can get beyond most of the fences where NPCs won't steal your artifacts and won't accidentally run into your anomalies either.

RS, not looking for transmutation, just noting that it appears that ALL anomalies that were present in Radar are now gone, in my play.  I have radiation, mutants, zombies, but -0- anomalies.  Glitched, IMHO.

Also, an easy jump in Rostok is the fence/hill transition near the ATP transition point.
