 CTDs in ZEP and Caesier

PostSubject: CTDs in ZEP and Caesier   Sun 29 Oct 2017 - 16:15

I had a couple of map-entry CTDs - entering Broken Road during ZEP and entering Old Village during Caesier. Has anyone else seen these? I think I have seen at least one of them reported here, but I can't find it.

I managed to solve them in my usual ham-fisted way by commenting out the script lines indicated in the logs, but I am obviously cutting out part of the challenge and I would prefer to install a proper fix if one has already been issued. If not, I will send to TecnoBacon.

entering old vilage during caesar can also be fixed by turning off extra spawns in the modders script before entering that map, and later turning it back on after I leave the map, its what TB told me to do.

as for broken road, I never had a CTD on that map, zep worked fine for me on it.

I wonder how many folks know that the Broken Road Note can spawn in one of three different houses in the village? In my last four games, it has been on the floor, and not in an attic, always in a room with a bed.

Never had a problem finding the Note, but that ladder problem is a long standing issue.

I never knew that, the only time I ever found it was in the attic in the most southern house, sometimes the ladder works and I can get into it, other times it doesn't

I wonder if TB has it set to where the ladder doesn't work if it doesn't spawn in that area? I guess I will take another look around that village and see if I can find that document

In my previous games it has always been in a downstairs room, beside or close to a bed. I think I have found it in three different houses - although I can never remember which, so I always end up searching them all.

I think I read on this forum a while back that if you don't find it on your first visit to Broken Road you will get a reminder later on, in which case it will be in an attic. However, I didn't find it on my initial visit and I didn't receive (or quite possibly I just missed!) a reminder.

When I eventually returned to the village, having completed everything else, I checked all of the downstairs rooms and all of the attics that I could get in to, but there was no note. Fortunately just spawning it in sets things in motion, and from then on it proceeds correctly.
