I was wondering if anyone could give me a helping hand with something...
Ive been tinkering with the art containers (as the topic implies) and ive hit a wall (nothing ive done has any changes Sad)

I am trying to make the 8 container have the rad resistance of the 1 container, OR make the 1 container hold 8 arts.

I had a dream about this last night for some reason (just started a new game and running the goldfish art to kostya in garbage with its +10 rad......)

Anyone got an idea how i can do this? its mainly for curiosity sakes really, but it is niggling at me in the back of my mind as i play.

There is away to do it, but you need to extract all the config files to search through them.


There maybe some chance the information you are looking for is in the items.ltx file, However I do not have my files currently extracted so I cannot see them...

going through arc_ui_8container_menu.script
and arc_8containers.script
and their _1 alternatives.
unfortunately im not a coder, just a tinkerer so the code behind it is lost on me Sad

Theres a trick to it... you can use notepad++ to search the entire game data folder for text within every text file in the directory...
If you search for the right things, it will bring you the information atuomatically...

Ok, after some testing, no matter what changes are made, or not having multiple 8container's causes a lid problem aaand containers are removed from inventory (kinda, theyre still there but not visible in your inventory.)
It somehow 'fixes' itself if you press 'close' then use the arrows to cycle to the next box and 'close its lid too (close all the boxes)
now im not sure if thats becaues in teh game your now restricted to 1 8container ro something else is mucking about with it, BUUUUUTT changing inv_rad-0.0003 to 1.0003 in the non ui script file actually works fine.
Its only when you add another 8container that you start to get the above problems.

*edit* this lid problem happens in vanilla StalkerSoup with multiple 8container's with no added script files.

*edit2* ahh yes, the tb3d_modders.script limits you to 1 8container.

*Final edit*

Ok heres how you do it. (assuming you have extracted your files)
1) goto tb3d_modders.script
   goto line 652
   change max_box = 1 to max_box = 3 (or however many you want)
   save
2) goto scripts/arc_8containers.script
   goto line 97
   change (inv_rad-0.0003) to (inv_rad-1.0003)
   save.
