PostSubject: Moving STALKERSOUP to another hard drive. Any help, please?   Mon 15 Jan 2018 - 4:38

I tried it already by copying the folder over to the preferred drive, game worked to my surprise up to the point where I loaded a save, every NPC was absent, but the quests remained(even pointed towards NPC's last known locations) and my inventory was was the same.

Anyway I am assuming it has something to do with some information being saved elsewhere, or perhaps I don't have SHoC downloaded on my preferred drive. I'm fine with playing on my current drive as it is, but I'd like to free up some space on it since I want optimal performance.

Thanks!

Just a guess, but did you start a new game to create a new all.save and then exit to windows? Maybe your game saves will work after that?

Personally I'd reinstall from scratch, having cleaned up all the old Windows registry entries first, otherwise your registry still thinks the game is on the former drive No

If it works okay, then try an old save, having pruned your 'saves' folder to a minimum first

There's a lot more info here, if you want an efficient working installation, because you know how small errors can compound in StalkerSoup...  Wink
