Anyone else experiencing this crash entering Lab x18? I'm patched to 16.3, with a 16.3 all.sav.

FATAL ERROR

Not in 16.3, but after updating to 16.4 I had the "Empty weather name" CTD when entering a couple of labs/underground areas. I had a couple of other game-breakers as well, but I was fairly close to the end so I have now started a new game. I was able to enter the Caves, so it could be an issue with continuing an old game. I will see tomorrow if the Garbage spawns are working again and if I can get into the Agroprom underground.

Don't really want to restart game, in the ZEP searches now.  Will try to figure out how to revert to 16.3 or earlier.

ETA: did not see this kind of error in 16.3, but don't recall attempting to go underground in 16.3, either.

Argh, I am actually on 16.4, lost track of the mini-patches.
Interestingly, I had my weather set to "Cloudy" in the Advanced Options menu. Changed it to "Default", and the x18 autosave loaded and I played through it. Don't really know how or why this worked, could be a fluke. Hope TB or Aleks can fix this, heading to the Cave and Agro Underground soon. (They probably will.

I also had weather set to cloudy. I've already reverted to 1.1.0016 (no patch) but can test tomorrow.

Yup, I think that is it. I was using the Cloudy setting before, but I left it on the Default setting in my new game. I changed it to Cloudy and jumped back to the Caves and got the "Empty weather name" CTD.

EDIT: Just tried all settings. Default is okay, Cloudy and Fair both give the CTD.

Yet another EDIT... The other game-breaker that I had in my old game was that, on entering ATP to start

I was stuck with no mouse or keyboard control apart from the ESC key. Apparently this was also the 'weather' bug - I reloaded an earlier game, changed the weather from Cloudy to Default, and I have my controls again.

Hmmm,

Before the default weather fix was mentioned, I uninstalled 1.1.0016 Patch 4 and installed SS up to 1.1.0016 (no patch), including the all.sav.

I'm in the ZEP quest, and was originally (Patch 4) unable to enter Warlabs to pick up that document due to the weather bug.

After the rollback to 1.1.0016 I was able to enter Warlabs and was then able to get ZEP documents up to [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.], but all documents were labelled [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.], with [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] text.  I had to use the walkthrough to get that far.  However, ultimately the ZEP doc in WT did not spawn.

So, I upgraded to 1.1.0016 Patch 4, did an all.save, and began playing starting with my original save before entering Warlabs.  Success!  Or, so I thought.  Although the Warlabs documents were where they needed to be and contained the right text, ZEP document [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] in Dead Marshes did not spawn.

I've gone back, again, to just before entering Warlabs and played forward.  [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] spawns correctly but [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] is still absent.  I've been all over the spawn area, including behind the bus.  No ZEP document.

Is there an info portion to "complete" ZEP [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] or some other suggestion?  Once again, thank you!

You beat me to it! Good to hear that you are okay again.  

You can spawn in zep docs with e.g. zep_doc_11 (ESC-F4 menu, zep_doc_11,1) and it will appear on the ground near you. Picking it up should generate the next doc. However, this bypasses the clean-up that removes the previous doc, so you might be stuck with that one in your inventory for the rest of your game.

I spoke too soon. I decided to replay the end section, but on entering ATP

I again get stuck with no controls. Everything else is happening normally around me, but I can't do anything.

I tried loading an earlier game, and if I go to ATP immediately on

everything works. If I leave it for a while and do other things, I get stuck. I have no idea what is different, unless some later task is interfering. Oh well, I am close enough to the end that I am not too concerned, but I will send TB a save game in case it isn't just me.

EDIT: I have tracked down the point where it goes wrong, to picking up the
