All I can tell you is that in my games he always comes back eventually - although it can take quite a while. I think it was something like 10 minutes in my last game. Unfortunately I don't know of any way to speed him up. A good time to go and make a fresh cup of coffee! |

| Hey, at least you won't have to wait for over a game week for Boatswain like I did for Arhara to appear in the Agroprom train tunnel! |

Well, he is in the Monolith base, supposedly resting at their camp fire. However, you can't get near him because of the Psi radiation barrier, so you can only wait. He eventually emerges from a tunnel under the side wall facing the Stalker village. There is a red fuel barrel at the entrance, which you can see from one of the weird trees just outside the barrier. I usually climb up there and just watch for him to appear. |

| I found that getting "close" to him (not really close but enough to trigger the barrier) gets him to move. I had to do this several times before he finally arrived. Dawdler! |

Quicksave-Quickload usually snaps them out of it, but yes, sometimes you have to try this several times before they behave! It is also worth checking for enemies nearby. If they sense an enemy when they reload, they will immediately start their "dance" again. |
