PostSubject: How to change Faction attitude ?   Thu 20 Jul 2017 - 16:44

After the quests where
Spoiler:

, I've become ennemy with Freedom.
So I went to Sidorovich to reset their attitude towards me and it seemed to work. Most of the guys are now neutral to me but, there are a few who are still ennemies. Any suggestions ?

They were also enemies to me this time. Usually they are green by that stage, and

only drops them to yellow. In my current game they went all the way from green to red. Fortunately, in my case, Sid turned them all back to yellow plus a few greens.

I think it works on a +/- points system. If you have annoyed them enough, Sid's help might not have been enough to put it right. You could try him again and see if he still offers a fix.

Otherwise, if Lukash is still neutral, you could do more missions and hopefully increase your rep again.

Last resort... exploding barrels are one way to get rid of "enemy" friendlies without taking a further rep hit. Laughing

Thanks for the reply.
Something weird happened. I loaded a save I made before going to Sid and did the thing again. This time it worked fine. So, I continued the jobs,
Spoiler:

Then, I came back to Army Warehouses. The guys at the border were friends, but the guys in the freedom base were now ennemies ! It makes no sense considering
Spoiler:

And I can't ask Sid this time...

I think it was the same for me; only NPCs who saw me at the time were affected. As Vitamin and his men were spawned later, they might not "know" about recent events. Just a guess...

The gold bar doesn't seem to have any effect on Freedom, but don't carry it near Duty. They have x-ray vision and can see it through your backpack. (Just as Freedomers can be half way across the base and still see a ring that you could hide in your inside pocket).

Well, the problem is that everyone inside the warehouse is my ennemy, including Lukash.
So I guess I'll just load an old save and do the infiltration mission again.
Anyway thanks for your replies.

Does it make a difference if you leave the level and come back in?

I avoided the duty mission againt freedom cause I didn't want to make them an enemy, so I just let them kill all the duty members.

Your reward for the duty battle is just a wild territory to army warehouse transition, but you can do a freedom mission to get that unlocked as well.

I tried to take different routes to come back from the lab, and also to leave the level and come back, without results.
Also _Nite_ , the infiltration mission I was talking about is not the Duty mission, it is something else later into the game.
I was wondering if there is like a cheat code or command to change the faction attitude, I'll check that.

I did not found how to resolve the issue yet, but I've done some testing and It appears that the Freedomers turn into ennemies when I

ESC-F brings up an "Attitude" menu, which supposedly sets a named NPC to friendly. If you only have a few "unfriendlies" it might be a way to change them one at a time. However, I haven't managed to figure out how it works. Does anyone know?

The instructions say "Enter the section, and name of desired NPC, separated by a comma." I'm not sure what they mean by Section, but whatever I enter initially I get a list of nearby NPC names in the form (e.g. in Pripyat) pri_respawn_military0447. Entering one of these names in the ESC-F menu then produces another message telling me that the NPC's goodwill has been set ... but he remains an enemy.

Thank you for that info, I didnt know that this ESC-F command existed.
However, I have managed to resolve my issue by loading an old save and doing again all the missions that caused the problem.
Still, it would be interesting to find how to run the command you are talking about. I'll try it and see what happens for me.

Just curious, did the Vitamin and Freedom clear dogs in Varlab work OK for you? I just completed that, and Vitamin was the only Freedomer to spawn in Varlab. He stayed at the top of the stairs until I cleared out all of the dogs. Even then, it took multiple saves and reloads to get him downstairs into the pool room.

It was the same for me. When I entered Warlab only Vitamin entered with me. He then stayed at the top while I killed all the dogs. Then it took several quicksave/quickloads to get him all the way down the entry stairs. After that he managed to find the lower room on his own.

Well, for me only Vitamin entered the lab as well, but he managed to directly go to the billiard room without having to save/load. I guess everything is normal.
