Chernobyl Cooling Ponds Empty
PostSubject: Chernobyl Cooling Ponds   Chernobyl Cooling Ponds Icon_minitimeSat 12 Oct 2019 - 17:20

Before the Chernobyl Disaster the Canal type water cooling ponds were in place and they are in place in now. Given that in true life, they would not have been drained because Reactors 2 & 3 remained working due to whatwould be a huge blackout without their continued production.
Spoiler:
In the present Game, they are shown as empty, & highly radioactive, it seems that they were emptied in 2014 when all the reactors were completely decommissioned and the Fuel Rods stored elsewhere. However the GoogleEarth image shows them full. If the modders could show them with water, the Google Earth view seems imo to allow for water to enter the complex. This seems logical for to cool anything needs contact so if there were tunnels access into the CNPP in Stalkersoup, via the water, and if mutant, fish, squid, rays, jellyfish etc occupied the water, if...
MO does enter shallow water quite often and deeper water in
Spoiler:
so presumably can swim. Exos provide oxygen, so he would sink and fight with harpoons etc. Certainly a little something for modders to dive into... Wink
